Salted Egg Crab Recipe

Among the many food i love , this is one dish that my husband and i would love to order everytime we are having seafood at a Chinese Restaurant.
The best so far is at Port Village Seafood Restaurant @ Port Klang and it has never failed us , just by having this me and my girlfriends would be the happiest people that day!
oh and you should also try their Nestum Fried Prawn.

Since everytime my husband back in Malaysia , masa suntuk tak berkesempatan ke Port Klang , i tried to cook and hoping that it would taste the same.
Lepaskan craving >.<
The 1st time i cook was at home for mom and my brother and sis in law cause i was craving for one and it turn out yummy! Mom love it!

and the 2nd time i cook for my husband here in Dubai.
So here is the recipe , based on the deliciousness taste of the Salted Egg Crab that i can remember.

1kg of crab
8 cloves of garlic , minced
5 tbsp butter
handful of curry leaves
5 cili padi , thin sliced
4 salted egg - you need to hard boiled all eggs and only use the yellow yolk. Smash it with fork to make it into paste.
1/4 cup evaporated milk
Nestum / Kentucky Mix / Bread Crumbs
2 Chicken Egg - beaten

1. Heat up the oil to fry the crab.
2. First , cut the crab into half and dip it into the beaten chicken egg then 'lumur'  with either Nestum+ Tepung kentucky or with bread crumbs and deep fried the crab. I prefer to use Nestum with Tepung Kentuky as it give more crunchy taste to the crab.
Set aside.
3.Clean all oil in the wok ( as you don't need oil for this). Now add the butter ( you can add more if you want it to taste more 'lemak' ) , garlic , cili padi and curry leaves. Cook all in slow fire as you don't want it to get burned.
4. Once you can smell the aroma , you can now add in the salted egg yellow yolk that you have smash it earlier. Stir well with the mixture.
5. Now add in the evaporated milk.
6. Once all are well mix , turn up the fire and stir in the mixture until you can see bubble at the side of your wok. Now put in the crab that was deep fried earlier. Mix all together and are now ready to be serve.
You do not need to add any salt to season coz the saltiness from the salted egg is good enough for the meal.

Buon appetito! ;-)

When i think of the ocean..

one day out of the blue, i drove myself alone all the way to the beach - tanjung balau.
I missed the beach sometimes, the sound of the waves as it hits the sand..the breeze of that salty sticky air .. Smell of the seas...

When im at the beach i can smell Arwah Daddy sometimes.. The ocean reminded me of him in so many way..

As i sit and watch some kids surfing , some adult and kids running around and playing around.. I can help but daydream.. If dad are around when i have kids of my own , i know he would be teaching his grandchildren story of the ocean...and probably their first fishing trip with their grandpa.

What i see What remind me of..

As i was about to lock everything before off to bed at my in laws, a view stopped me for a while.. Instead i walk and sit at the balcony watch over the Twin Tower reminded of how much, back then when i was still in college, i just can't wait to graduate and one day i will start working.. Earning on my own... Get to dress up corporately... Probably my office with smack right in the city center.

Well things are the opposite now, when u were looking for a job after experience working at the city center you wished that your office would be somewhere nearer to your house so u dont have to wake up extra early so you will reach work on time almost ... And wished the traffic would be kind enough for u that you dont need to spent hours in the car.. And you drag urself to work everyday...haha
So funny to think back what u dream for in college and what u wished for now that u were a student with no worries (well except for ur grades ).

So to fellow student out there, appreciate the time you have now while maintaining good grades ok!
You'll missed it when you realize this year you are turning the big 30 and wished you were in your 20th when it all started.

If i were to design my wedding dress again...

If i have the opportunity of designing my wedding dress again to be married again with my husband >.< with inspiration from the 54th Grammy awards ... these will be my top list.
Elie Saab on Katy Perry.
Love the heavy beaded material and how soft  the baby blue color  for the outfit.
I would probably have a high boat neck like Carrie Underwood below for this and would be purfect!

Overall cutting and how minimalist of the dress  is top in my list.

What's not to love! Beauty of glittery sequined Armani long black dress with boat neck .
Simple yet stunning!

I'm not a fan of having to wear a 'i can see your granny panties and push up bra' but i love the lace material use for the dress by Jean Paul Gaultier.
I would start searching for similar lace material ;)
Not loving the color either.

Movie Post It!

Have you watch the movie The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
If you haven't watch it , go to your nearest DVD seller or any ah beng jual dvd and get 1 ... sit and watch it
(don't watch it with your parents or kids else you gonna be uncomfortable).

What made me watch the movie twice 2 days back to back , is the great story line , the plot and how amazingly  surprisingly good Rooney Mara acting as Lisbeth Salander.
I don't want to spill any beans here but if you looking for a good movie to watch over the weekend , this is one definitive recommended for you!

Imagine such a sweet pretty lady Rooney Mara transformed below.

Picture from Who What Wear

Can you believe both are the same girl.
